Joeleen Leverman is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP, APRN-BC) dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care across the lifespan. She maintains active RN, PMHNP, and held a Psychiatric RN board certification while practicing as a registered nurse.
She completed her Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, building on an MSN in Care Coordination, a BSN from Oregon Health & Science University. She has earlier degrees in psychology, criminal justice, and the Oregon Transfer AA. Her clinical experience spans inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, youth and adult corrections, detox services, home health, community mental health, and leadership roles in residential and transitional care settings.
Her PMHNP training included rotations in adult inpatient psychiatry at Oregon State Hospital, telehealth adolescent inpatient psychiatry, and outpatient neuropsychology. She brings more than a decade of diverse mental-health-focused nursing experience to her current outpatient and telehealth psychiatric practice.
Grounded in a philosophy that emphasizes dignity, compassion, and the intrinsic resilience of every person, she is committed to supporting diverse populations as they navigate challenges, build on their strengths, and rediscover purpose and meaning in their lives.
Outside of her professional work, she is the proud wife of an acupuncturist, mother to a pre-med son at the University of Oregon, and mother to a creative middle-school daughter; roles that inspire her commitment to family-centered, holistic care.
