Brittney Belcher, PA-C, CTRS Brittney Belcher is a board-certified Physician Assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Brittney completed her Bachelor of Science in Recreational Therapy at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at North Greenville University in Greer, SC. Prior to medical school, Brittney began her career in health care as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 2011 and has been a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) since 2015. Each of these roles were instrumental in developing her values and foundation for holistic care. Recreational Therapy is an alternative treatment modality that utilizes leisure activities to improve the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of individuals. Her professional life has offered numerous opportunities to work with amazing children, youth, and adults of varying abilities in both home health care and outdoor adventure settings. Brittney is passionate about combining her healthcare education with her recreational background to facilitate greater health and well-being for individuals in both a medical and therapeutic way, while upholding human dignity and patient autonomy to encourage collaborative and goal-oriented care. Her philosophy has always been that quality health care should encompass a person’s spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, and social well-being. Brittney believes that wellness is an interconnected process unique to each person and she looks forward to supporting you in your journey toward health and wholeness.
