Kim Schmaltz, Naturopathic Doctor

Dr. Schmaltz earned his Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Portland’s National University and he has a second Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan University.  He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in microbiology with minors in chemistry and mathematics from Purdue University. He has another Bachelor of Science degree in human biology from Logan University.

He has multiple practice interests and maintains a broad primary care practice with a scope that includes men’s and women’s health, general practice, bioidentical hormone therapies for men and women, sexual dysfunction, hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue, food sensitivity testing, type II diabetes care, minor surgery, cryotherapy, prolotherapy treatment for chronic pain, trigger point injections, and other modes of treatment. Manipulation, physiotherapy and the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions are also provided in addition to nutrition and lifestyle recommendations.  

Dr. Schmaltz is from the mid-west and has lived in Oregon for a number of years. He enjoys the coast, mountains, rivers and many other things Oregon has to offer. Hobbies include carpentry, reading, fishing, crabbing and scenic travels in Oregon. He has traveled extensively in the Philippines and looks forward to further Asian travels. 

Dr. Schmaltz is a cancer survivor with firsthand empathy for his patients’ battling cancer and he also strongly encourages patients to become actively involved in their care.
