Amanda Aldrich, FNP-BC

Originally from Southern California, I worked as a Registered Nurse for 9 years before becoming a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2019.  I have a heavy background in the operating room (OR) and have spent most of the last decade either in the OR, or in adjunct peri-operative services.

While my background is in acute care and trauma nursing; as a Primary Care Provider, I believe that total health is achieved by looking at the patient as a whole; addressing mental and physical conditions in tandem to achieve optimal outcomes for each unique individual, and their specific needs.  I have a passion for the underserved, and sub-specialty in substance abuse and eating disorders. My goal with each patient is to create a safe and trusting space where they feel heard, understood, validated, and can have their concerns addressed efficiently, appropriately, and without judgment or bias.  I favor shared decision making with my patients, as I have found that the best relationships between provider and patient are the ones in which both are actively working together to achieve patient goals for health and wellness.

In my free time I enjoy creating music, being near, on, or in the ocean, and spending quality time with my family.

I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to join the team at OIH, & I look forward to meeting you!
