Amanda Nelson, LCSW
Amanda Nelson, LCSW - Oregon Integrated Health, Portland.
I earned my Master of Social Work from Portland State University with a focus on aging, health, and collaborative care within medical and community settings. I’m passionate about providing whole-person support that promotes both emotional and physical well-being. I work with individuals and families navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, adjustment to health changes, and stress related to all of life’s transitions. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and centered on helping people define their own goals for wellness while addressing the social and environmental factors that shape health.
I have a strong background in palliative care, advance care planning, and supporting individuals and families through cognitive changes and serious illness. I believe that social support is one of the most protective factors against stress and trauma, and that healing is best fostered in relationships built on trust, dignity, safety, and compassion. My goal is to provide care that honors each person’s story, encourages choice, and supports personal empowerment through all stages of life.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring Oregon’s natural beauty, creating art, and spending time with my French bulldog. I’m grateful for the opportunity to partner with patients on their journey toward greater health and well-being.
